Questions
The pageant is open to young women who are residents of Louisiana and identify as Creole or have a deep personal connection to Louisiana Creole culture. Contestants must fall within one of two age divisions: Teen Creole Queen (ages 13–17) or Creole Queen (ages 18–24). All applicants are expected to demonstrate cultural awareness, integrity, and a commitment to community representation. Applications are thoughtfully reviewed by the pageant committee.
The Miss Creole Queen Pageant features two divisions. The Teen Creole Queen division is for young women ages 13–17, including students in middle school, high school, or homeschool. The Creole Queen division is for women ages 18–24, including college students, trade school students, recent graduates, and any young woman ready to represent her community. Each division is judged and crowned separately.
Yes. A non-refundable $25 application fee is required at the time of submission for both divisions. This fee is applied toward the contestant’s total entry balance. The full entry fee is $250 for Teen Creole Queen and $300 for Creole Queen. Payment plans may be available upon request.
The application deadline is July 1, 2026. All applications must be submitted through the official online form by this date. Late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but early submission is strongly encouraged.
The inaugural Miss Creole Queen Pageant will take place on September 26, 2026 at the Acadiana Center for the Arts, located at 101 W Vermilion Street, Lafayette, LA 70501. The venue was selected for its cultural significance and its capacity to host an event of this caliber. Doors, showtime, and rehearsal details will be communicated to selected contestants. Contestants are evaluated across five categories: Interview (assessing cultural awareness, communication, and leadership potential), Evening Wear (formal presentation reflecting poise and elegance), Cultural Talent (a personal presentation reflecting culture, identity, or lived experience), Group Entrance (a themed collective presentation), and On-Stage Question (a brief response on culture, leadership, or representation). The Interview category carries the most significant weight.
Contestants are encouraged to seek support through publication pages and community sponsorships, but participation in the pageant is not dependent on sales. We believe every contestant should have the opportunity to participate based on merit, not fundraising ability. That said, community engagement and support-building are valued qualities in a Creole Queen.
The crowned Miss Creole Queen receives a custom handcrafted crown created by John Griffin of Rhode Island, the official Miss Creole Queen title and sash, a scholarship award, featured placement across Louisiana Creole Culture media platforms (77,000+ combined reach), recognition at Creole Culture Day and year-round cultural events, and opportunities for speaking engagements and community appearances throughout her reign.
At this time, the pageant is open to residents of Louisiana. We are focused on honoring and representing Louisiana Creole culture specifically. Future pageants may expand eligibility as the platform grows.
We welcome both corporate and community sponsors.
